Andy Fletcher is the founder and head of Life, the Universe and Everything, Inc. The organization supports Andy as he offers talks, presentations, lectures, books, audiobooks, and DVDs on, as the title suggests, life, the universe and everything.

The talks are a fascinating, gripping exploration into the way we think the universe is contrasted dramatically with the way it actually is. We persist in our belief that everything is logical and reasonable, that everything makes sense, and that we pretty much understand everything of importance in science and nature.

Nothing could be further from reality, and as it turns out, even reality is not real in the way we think it is. Space, time, matter, energy, everything is wildly different than our perceptions would suggest. Questions we would all assume have long been settled are deeply unsettled - existence, meaning, purpose, even the existence of God have made their way back into discussions based on nothing more than physics and cosmology.

Fletcher's talks have been given in nearly 280 schools in 43 countries since 1991, multiple times in many schools, and in 58 conferences (in 20 countries) for multiple schools - he is nearly always the only speaker at each school and conference; each event was designed only to hear the presentations. He's also spoken on this and other topics over 400 times, mostly as the only speaker, the main speaker, a keynote or a plenary speaker.

As well, he is the author of five books, three of which are taken from the talks. They are available at the following links:

The main presentation can consist of any or all of the topics below. Given time, it’s best to do all six, as they link together in a continuum. Each will also stand on its on without the others.

1. Life, the Universe and Everything: Newton's view of the Universe - mostly right - missed it by that much.

2. Relativity, Black Holes, and Big Bang - Einstein fixes Newton and gets confused.

3. Quantum Weirdness - you have no idea.

4. Chaos Theory, or, there might be a hungry, toothy dinosaur in your future.

5. Complexity Theory - the bacteria are in charge of it all.

6. A Brief History of the Universe, the Anthropic Principle and the Multiverse - scientists decide to believe in things that don't exist yet.

We also offer separate but related presentations on:

1. The Evolving State of Evolution

2. Evolution, Creationism, and Intelligent Design

3. There’s Nothing There, but Matter Matters

Plus talks on:

1. Third Culture Kids
2. Crossing Cultures

3. Suriviving Transition

4. Cultural Values

5. The Strange State of Faith in America

(The talk in the YouTube video was recorded in front of a live student audience at Rampart High School in Colorado and is part of an 8-part DVD series available for purchase. It is representative of a lecturing session in front of about 100 people; the style of the presentation adapts depending upon the size of the audience, and the content has changed over the years somewhat, as well.)
